In our metal workshop, we have recently been working on a GT 1600 Alfa Romeo 105/115 Series “Step Nose” Coupé. This Alfa Romeo has come in for a wide variety of metalwork repairs, which our panel beater, Rob, has recently been working on. We are repairing any areas containing rust and restoring the structural integrity of this classic Italian car.

We had a wonderful weekend at Alficina, hosting our 2025 Cancer Research Open Day at our Nottingham workshops! The glorious sunshine helped draw a fantastic crowd to our workshops, attracting an exceptional turnout for our 5th annual Open Day, making this year’s Open Day our busiest yet.

In our workshops, we’re currently working on an Alfa Romeo GTV (Gran Turismo Veloce). This 1975 Alfa Romeo is undergoing a full restomod transformation that blends classic Italian style with modern performance and reliability, much like the Alfa Romeo GT Junior we have recently completed. Our experienced restoration technicians have recently finished the extensive metalwork required on the GTV. The 1975 Alfa Romeo is now being reassembled with a range of high-spec upgrades.

Recently at Alficina, we had the pleasure of working on a De Tomaso Mangusta. This rather rare and striking Italian sports car has come in with some wiring faults, leading to the battery not charging. Our amazing and experienced staff were able to identify the issue and resolve it, getting it back to our client as soon as possible.

This Alfa Romeo GT Junior has turned into a wild child with a large variety of restomod upgrades. The Alfa Romeo GT Juniors were in production between 1963 and 1977, this GT Junior was produced in 1968. This two-door coupe had a 4tipo Restomod upgrade with modern performance and handling.

Recently at Alficina, we have started works on a custom 4tipo Maserati Merak restomod. Our client brought their Merak into our workshop for a range of upgrades, including performance enhancements to the engine and a modernised heating and ventilation system.

A 1990 Ferrari Testarossa has come into the workshop for a repair. After getting damaged in an accident, the Ferrari came to get its two rear wings repaired. Our master craftsman had to remove the rear wing and reconstruct the original panel from pictures! Click the article to read more.

Two new cars have entered the workshop this week! Both cars are Lancia Flaminia with the patented Superleggera style. One of the cars is a yellow left-hand drive convertible and the second car is a very rare right-hand drive grey Coupe, which is only 1 of 11 ever produced. These cars have come in for a full restoration. We are looking forward to working on these projects over the coming months and keeping you up to date on the progress we make.
